Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Chef Plated, an AI culinary operating system for professional chefs and kitchens. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms.
1. Accounts & Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate registration details. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
2. Subscriptions & Billing
Chef Plated offers tiered subscription plans billed through our payment processor, Stripe. Fees are charged in advance on a recurring basis and are non-refundable except where required by law. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. We may change pricing with reasonable prior notice.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the platform, including: reverse engineering, scraping, reselling AI outputs as a competing service, uploading unlawful or infringing content, or attempting to disrupt the service. Recipes, plating visuals, and cost analyses are tools to assist professional judgment — you remain responsible for food safety, allergen handling, labeling, and regulatory compliance in your kitchen.
4. AI-Generated Content
Menus, recipes, beverage pairings, plating images, and cost estimates are generated with AI and provided “as is.” They may contain inaccuracies. Ingredient costs and food-cost percentages are estimates and depend on the pricing data you import; verify all figures before relying on them for purchasing or menu pricing.
5. Your Content & Ownership
You retain ownership of the menus, recipes, and data you create. You grant us a limited license to process and store this content to operate the service. Subject to your plan and applicable law, you may export or delete your content.
6. Third-Party Services
Chef Plated integrates with third parties including Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Sysco Order Guide imports, and AI providers. Your use of those features may also be subject to the third party’s terms.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk to the platform or other users. You may close your account at any time from Settings.
8. Disclaimers & Liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chef Plated is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from reliance on AI outputs or cost estimates.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
